Free lunch, meet some Congressmen, hang out with 1E in NYC

Monday, August 23, 2010 12:30 P.M. New York, NY

The Alliance to Save Energy and Alliance Associate 1E are pleased to invite you to join us for a special Associates lunch in New York, NY featuring Congressman Steve Israel and Congressman Paul Tonko, members of the Congressional Sustainable Energy & Environment Coalition (SEEC).

SEEC was founded at the start of the 111th United States Congress to be an effective advocate in the U.S. House of Representatives for policies to promote clean energy innovation and domestic manufacturing, develop renewable energy resources, create clean energy jobs, help arrest global warming, and protect our nation’s environment.

The coalition has been on the front lines in Washington in advancing policies to spur development and deployment of energy efficiency and renewable energy. SEEC has played a significant role in passing ground-breaking energy legislation like the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, American Clean Energy and Security Act, and the Home Star Energy Retrofit Act.

SEEC members Reps. Israel and Tonko will discuss, with Alliance Board, Associates and guests, the progress of the 111th Congress and the state of play of federal actions around the new energy economy, including policies to advance residential and commercial energy efficiency and create American clean energy jobs.

The Alliance is honored to continue our Policy Perspectives series with some of the leading voices in energy and climate policy and we hope you will reserve your seat today for this exciting event!

Wakeup computers on your network using your iPad and your iPhone

What was that?

A lot of companies utilize iTunes for various things on various devices and computers – so it makes sense that you would actually find 1E products in the Applications list. 1E continues striving to allow you to manage all devices on your network in an effort to provide total IT Efficiency.

This neat little utility from 1E combines with Web WakeUp to let you wake up any computer on your network using an iPhone or iPad. Handy when you've just got to finish that last minute piece of work but you've already left the office, or when you want to get a head start on the day by waking up your PC before you get to your desk. Once your computer is awake you can connect to it remotely using any third party Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) app.

If you want to find 1E WakeUp in the iTunes app, just search for “1E WakeUp” in the iTunes store. Or, just jump out to the following links to read more:
